Laser beam melting of plastics with reactive liquids

The aim of subproject B7 is to combine different polymer classes in a combined laser beam melting process of plastics (KLSS-K). Therefore, semi-crystalline thermoplastics and reactive liquids like du-rosets are joined in one process in order to generate multi-material plastic parts. The scientific re-search focuses on the interaction between the reactive liquid and the thermoplastic material as well as on the evaluation of different process strategies for the production of hard/soft combinations in laser beam melting of polymers.
