A – Powder / Materials

The project area A „Powder- /Materials“ carries out fundamental studies on the in powder and beam based additive manufacturing of plastics and metals. The focus lies on the preparation of plastic and metal powders suitable for these processes, the knowledge of process-relevant material and powder properties and their influence on the manufacturing process. Project area A includes key aspects of powder preparation and their application properties, which have a great influence on the consolidation process and the later part properties.
